Rebecca Jane Player
Rebecca Player is a registered chiropractor who completed a Bachelor of Chiropractic Science and a Master of Chiropractic at Macquarie University.
Rebecca grew up on the Central Coast of NSW and had a passion for sports, in particular dance. Her passion led her to sit RAD ballet exams and LGTDA tap exams and pathed the way for her eventual employment as a dance teacher. Rebecca has taught both on the Central Coast and Sydney in styles such as jazz, ballet (ADV), Tap (GWT), lyrical and contemporary.
Rebecca knew she loved the human body and had an inquisitive mind when understanding how the body moves and functions. This is what led her to study to become a chiropractor.
Whilst studying, Rebecca prided herself on academic excellence achieving many academic awards through her time of study. Rebecca is qualified to additionally use dry needling techniques and has also completed the Internationally Certified Chiropractic Sports Practitioner (ICCSP) lower limb and upper limb biomechanics course and rocktaping course.
Rebecca is a passionate chiropractor who has particular interest in lower and upper limb biomechanics and dance related injuries and injury prevention. Rebecca aims to conduct research into the epidemiology of dance injuries in Australia whilst working in the clinic.
Rebecca seeks to educate and rehabilitate her patients and the wider community for injury prevention. She believes education is key to live a healthy life.
Rebecca speaks at dance studios providing information on anatomy for dancers, safe dance practice and injury prevention as well as provides services in pre-pointe assessments.
